Lectures and seminars Master Class on Health Literacy for PhD students

The Doctoral Programme in Public Health Science (PHSP) offers a Master Class on Health Literacy. The event consists of 5 online half-day sessions in English. It is especially intended for doctoral students who are interested in Health Literacy and want to depen their knowledge and understanding of this topic from a research perspective.
The Master Class is a collaboration between PHSP and University of Inland (Norway), University of Oslo and Aalborg University, Denmark.
The online sessions are as follows:
- 10 Oct, 8.30-12.00: Definitions of Health Literacy and its relation to other health concepts.
- 17 Oct, 13.00-16.30: Health Literacy Frameworks and Models.
- 24 Oct, 8.30-12.00: Health Literacy Assessments on Individual and Organizational level.
- 7 Nov 8.30-12.00 Translation, Cultural Adaptation and Validation of Health Literacy Assessments.
- 14 Nov 13.00-16.30 Health Literacy in Quantitative and Qualitative Research.
Only 20 places are available. Students who will attend all the sessions and complete a written assignment will be provided a certificate of attendance and the equivalent to 1.5 ECTS credits.
