Welcome to participate in LIME Talks on Tuesday 13 October between 15:30-16:30. Prof Nawi Ng will present and discuss barriers and facilitators for integrated health promotion and disease prevention and control in a global context. He will dissect the implementation research issues both at the structural system and individual- levels using examples from India, Indonesia and Sweden.

Prof Ng is a Professor of Global Health at the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. He is also a Guest Professor of Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University. He is currently leading a few research projects funded by the VR and Forte, among which the STAR-C’s Research Programme funded by the Forte and the ICON Research Link project funded by the VR. The STAR-C is a multidisci¬plinary research project linking researchers at four faculties at Umeå University on developing digital coaching for behaviour change in collaboration with the Region Västerbotten. The ICON project focuses on implementation research for the integration of tuberculosis, diabetes mellitus and smoking prevention programme in India and Indonesia.
