Science and art go hand in hand in an exhibition about Lennart Nilsson's work: ‘Science in art - art in science’. Welcome to a guided tour!
Science and art share many of the characteristics of creative problem solving, whether or not it is rewarded with a Nobel Prize. The photographer Lennart Nilsson's many years of work at Karolinska Institutet straddled that line. This work also has deep roots in scientific image making, which Lennart Nilsson was both in dialogue with and renewed.
Based on Lennart Nilsson's last laboratory at KI, preserved in 2018, ‘Medical History and Heritage’ has created an exhibition that presents Lennart Nilsson, the historical background to his work and the lines forward pointed out by ‘The Lennart Nilsson Award’.
