About Aborthärvan [The Abortion Snarl]
In 1943, eight women in Arvika are brought to trial. Like countless women before and after them, they have helped each other take control of their own lives by having abortions. The Abortion Scandal is a performative docu-soap that premiered in 2022 – a story of sisterhood and secrets, powerlessness and heroism. Sara Falkstad and Helene Karlsson, who are part of the art group OTALT, are creating a lecture performance based on the project. abortharvan.com
