Lectures and seminars KI South Distinguished Lecture Series: Antonio Bertoletti

Antonio Bertoletti, MD is an expert in the field of viral hepatitis, with a specific interest in the immunopathogenesis of HBV infection and is a Professor at the Emerging Viral Disease Program at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore.
His current research is focus on the development of new immunological based therapies (TCR-redirected T cells) for the treatment of HBV chronic infection and Hepatocellular carcinoma.
In 2020, after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, his laboratory has been actively involved in the characterization of SARS-COV2 specific T cell immune response in infected and vaccinated individuals.

Short talk introduction by KI researcher Marcus Buggert, Docent and group leader at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge - Center for Infections Medicine (CIM): "Cellular immunity in viral infections".
The lecture will be followed by an afternoon reception in the Neo entrance hall with possibility to interact and ask questions. A small group discussion with Prof. Bertoletti will follow after the talk under the coordination of Marcus Buggert.
