Lectures and seminars KI Lifestyle4Health network seminar #3: Diabetes ANd CarbohydratEs, DANCE study

Welcome to KI Lifestyle4Health network Seminar series!
This seminar will discuss the background, design and progress of the DANCE-study
Description
The scientific basis for dietary recommendations in type 1 diabetes (T1D) is almost lacking, as current recommendations are based on type 2 diabetes studies. Our objective is to contribute to evidence-based dietary recommendations for people with T1D. The randomized controlled trial DANCE (Diabetes ANd CarbohydratEs) compares how a traditional diabetes diet, a moderately low and a strictly low carbohydrate diet (not ketogenic) affect insulin requirements, metabolic control and glycemic variability in individuals with T1D.
