Patrik Jarvoll, Head of department  PKL & Head of KERIC at Karolinska University Hospital gives a presentation of Karolinska Preclinical Laboratory (PKL): Changes to improve PKL and preclinical research infrastructure within K organization and beyond. Opportunity for questions and discussion.

PKL is a core facility at Karolinska University (FoU, K), offering a comprehensive range of animal facilities, laboratories, and advanced technical equipment to support high-quality preclinical studies in both academic and industrial sectors. We oversee research involving animals in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act, ensuring animal welfare and continuously improving the research environment. PKL is also direct connected with KERIC, the imaging facility at Campus Nord, and collaborates closely with the Centre for Imaging Research (CIR). Our intensions is to expand available resources and foster greater collaboration to meet the future needs of science and healthcare.
