Welcome to all new students both those who will be attending the Global Master's and Bachelor's Programmes, and exchange students! And welcome to KI's introduction week! Below you can see a broad outline of the programme. We will publish more details as we get closer to the Autumn semester and you will also receive information directly to your e-mail.

Monday – Wednesday, August 22-24 

Swedish course

Campus Solna

International students studying at KI for a minimum period of 8 weeks are offered a complimentary three-days Swedish course (not available for students coming from Norway or Denmark). More information and how to sign up will be sent to your e-mail.

Thursday, August 25

Welcome Ceremony and Fair at 

Campus Solna

You are invited to Karolinska Institutet’s introduction ceremony for students attending the global programmes and exchange students in Aula Medica. During the ceremony, you will be welcomed by the president of KI, current students, and learn more about what student life at KI has to offer!

After the ceremony, you will be able to meet and mingle with the different support functions at KI available to students. This is also when you will be able to pick up your complimentary KI backpack. In connection to this there will also be MRSA testing for those students who need it at the Student Health Centre. 

Invitation and more information about the program will be sent to your e-mail closer to the date.

Coffee and tea served in Aula Medica 

10.30  – 11.30 am

Welcome ceremony in Aula Medica, Erling Perssonsalen

11.30 – 1.00 pm    

Lunch 

1.00 – 4.00 pm    

Study fair, collection of backpacks and MRSA test, Aula Medica and Student Health Center
