Lectures and seminars Infection and Immunology Seminar: An alpaca nanobody neutralises SARS-CoV-2 by blocking receptor interaction
Speaker: Gerald McInerney (Department of Microbiology Tumor and Cell biology)
Host: Lisa Westerberg
Location: A Zoom link will be sent out a few days before.
Gerry will describe the camelid nanobody identification platform, set up in recent years by Leo Hanke in Gerry’s lab and its mobilisation under the H2020-funded “CoroNAb” consortium to find nanobodies directed against the spike glycoprotein of SARSCoV2. Gerry will also present a cryoEM structure of the viral spike in complex with their flagship nanobody, Ty1.
