Lectures and seminars IMM seminar: Mechanisms of inflammation in contact dermatitis and beyond

The research of Professor Stefan Martin is dedicated to comprehending the mechanisms underlying adverse reactions to chemicals, particularly irritant and allergic contact dermatitis, and inflammatory skin diseases. He investigates cellular and molecular immune responses, alongside stress responses. The objective of his research is to attain a comprehensive mechanistic understanding of cellular and molecular responses to chemicals, enhance the treatment and diagnosis of contact dermatitis, and devise mechanism-based in vitro assays as alternatives to animal testing for identifying contact allergens and assessing their potency.
