Brief description

This PhD project aims to contribute to the development of improved transcultural psychiatric diagnostics. The overall aim is to evaluate the culture-sensitive and person-centred tool, the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI), included in the psychiatric diagnostic manual DSM-5. The evaluation addresses the CFI’s effect on diagnostic outcome, patients and clinicians’ experiences of using it and analysis of what information the CFI contributed to the diagnostic assessment.
