“The KEAP1-NRF2 regulatory system and cancer” with Prof. Masayuki Yamamoto from the Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan.
Prof. Yamamoto discovered the KEAP1-NRF2 transcriptional control system that has major importance in regulation of cellular redox status and metabolism, with implications in several pathophysiological processes. This lecture will focus on the latest discoveries of this system in relation to cancer. Mechanistic studies of how KEAP1 senses hydrogen peroxide will also be presented.
