Title: “Epigenome-wide meta-analysis of blood DNA methylation in newborns and children identifies numerous loci related to gestational age”

Melle Säve-Söderbergh

Title: Associations between exposure to drinking water chlorination by-products and small-for-gestation-age - a nation-wide register-based prospective study including 500,000 singleton births

Aim
To allow all PhD students and postdocs within the field of epidemiology to present their ongoing research projects, and to encourage questions from other students, in an informal setting.
Format
Seminars will occur once per month on Thursdays (except during the summer). Speakers and titles for each seminar will be announced on the IMM homepage and in the KI calendar. On each occasion, two students will present a 30 minute seminar including time for questions (~20/10 minutes). One senior staff will serve as chairman for the seminar. The audience is encouraged to ask questions. The language is English.
Target audience
All students, post docs, and faculty working in the field of epidemiology are welcome to attend these seminars. Supervisors (of the current speakers) are expected to attend, but should maintain a low profile and allow the students to respond to questions. Regular attendance at these seminars (n=18) and presentation of own research (n=2) within the seminar series will provide course credits for PhD students within epidemiology (total 20 gives 1.5 credits).
