An online meeting of Public Health experts, organized by the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Public Health in Disasters (EMPHID)

The inaugural EMPHID Online Forum will take place on 8 October 2021, between 9:00-18:00 CEST. It aims to bring together and enhance the collaboration among EMPHID associated centers, while stimulating the exchange of experiences between students and alumni. 

The online forum will feature plenary lectures by renowned experts across the Public Health spectrum, engaging with cutting-edge topics such as Disaster Epidemiology and Global Health Security.

Moreover, a series of presentations and guest talks by over 20 academics and professionals will be organized under three thematic panels:

Panel Session 1: Complex Emergencies and Refugees 
Panel Session 2: Epidemic Emergencies 
Panel Session 3: Climate Change and Disasters

The EMPHID Online Forum 2021 will discuss relevant and current topics related to the main areas of the EMPHID programme. 

About EMPHID  

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Public Health in Disasters (EMPHID) is a joint university educational programme designed to deliver high-quality education and training in the field of Public Health in disaster situations.

The programme is organized by the Unit for Research in Emergency and Disaster of the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain), the Centre for Research on Health Care in Disasters of the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and the Department of Primary Care and Population Health of the University of Nicosia (Cyprus). 

It is sponsored by the European Union and involves associated universities and institutions around the world.
