Welcome to the next Crossing Borders webinar! Petter Brodin will share his thinking on "Human Systems Immunology".

Petter Brodin is a consultant in pediatric immunology, combining clinical work at the Karolinska University Hospital with leading a research team of 15 members at the Science for Life Laboratory, Karolinska Institutet. The team develops and applies system immunology approaches to study human immune system variation in health and disease and immune development early in life.

The work of the group involves the elucidation of heritable and non-heritable factors that shape human immunity, immune system development and adaptation early in life as well as a research program in clinical application of systems immunology. To enable these activities the group develops novel experimental and computational methods to more comprehensively and accurately monitoring immune systems in humans. Brodin is also the director and founder of the SciLifeLab national facility for Mass cytometry, and head of the unit for clinical pediatrics at the department of Women’s and Children’s Health, at Karolinska Institutet and an elected member of the Young Academy of Sweden and an EMBO Young Investigator.

The webinar will be held online via Zoom.
