Modern research depends on code for analysis and data management. This workshop teaches pragmatic coding habits that minimize mistakes and improve collaboration. Participants will learn effective code structure, documentation methods, organizational strategies, and how to leverage AI coding tools while avoiding common pitfalls. The focus is on achievable improvements that deliver large impact with minimal learning curve—practical skills that make research coding less painful and more productive.

This workshop is part of the Clinicum workshop series “Sharpen your research question and prepare for success – tips and tricks in study planning and working with data” which equips participants with essential skills in study planning and data management — foundations for conducting reproducible quantitative research.
