Clinicum, in collaboration with the Center for Health Data, invites researchers and staff affiliated to KI to an information-packed day on how to access and use healthcare data from Region Stockholm for research.

Welcome to a day that will give you vital knowledge in using Region Stockholm’s healthcare data for research, covering legislation, data availability, and application process.
After a brief overview of the healthcare data landscape in Sweden, and what role regional and local hospital data can fill in epidemiological and clinical research, representatives from Region Stockholm’s Center for Health Data and Capio S:t Göran will introduce:
- the legislation that protects sensitive personal data on health.
- the current processes for how to apply for data for research purposes.
- an overview or the Region’s main health data sources, including the administrative healthcare databases (known as VAL) and the main electronic health record system Take Care.
The day will end with researchers sharing their experience of the process, and opportunity to ask your questions directly to the gathered expertise.
