Jennifer Protudjer

About the speaker:

Dr. Jennifer Protudjer is an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, at the University of Manitoba, and holds an affiliation to the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet. She is on many committees within the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology.

She also sits on the steering committees for Food Allergy Canada’s National Food Allergy Action Plan and Sweden’s Bra mat för Alla [Good Food for All]. She completed her post-doctoral training at Karolinska Institutet, where she led FoodHE II, the Food Allergy Health Economics Group, Part II.

Dr. Protudjer’s current research focus is on the environmental risk factors for, and societal consequences of allergic diseases, which she investigates using mixed methods, thereby focusing on the impact of allergic diseases on child growth and pubertal development and financial and mental health. She has expertise in mixed methods, food allergy, health economics, quality of life, knowledge translation and nutrition.
