The Center for Alzheimer Research organize virtual seminars on Wednesday mornings, with approximately 15-minute presentations of an ongoing project from a researcher within the center. Welcome!

Professor Takaomi C. Saido, Laboratory Head at RIKEN Center for Brain Science

"Predicting the future in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research and presenting brand-new animal models"

Prof. Takaomi C. Saido is a Laboratory Head at RIKEN Center for Brain Science. He is a board member of Japanese Dementia Research Society and serves as an advisory committee member for AD/PD Meeting. The main objectives of the Saido Lab are to clarify the etiology of sporadic Alzheimer’s disease (SAD) via understanding amyloid-beta metabolism and to create the most relevant and user-friendly models of AD and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) without depending on an overexpression paradigm, that have been shared by approximately 1,000 groups worldwide. He also serves as a visiting professor for Keio University and Waseda University in Tokyo.
