In connection with PhD student Lea van Husen's dissertation, we invite you to an open opponent lecture:

Thursday February 24, at 10.45 am.

“Axonal injury: from nanoscale imaging to chemical biology-based tools for protein engineering”

Dr. Ivana Nikić-Spiegel, Group Leader, Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN), University of Tübingen, Germany.

Dr. Nikić-Spiegel studied molecular biology and physiology at the University of Belgrade, received her PhD in neuroimmunology in 2011 from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and completed her postdoctoral training in chemical biology at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg. Since 2016 she is a junior group leader at the University of Tübingen. Dr. Nikić-Spiegel’s laboratory is dedicated to understanding mechanisms regulating neuroinflammatory axonal injury by using advanced microscopy and chemical biology techniques.
