Centre for bioinformatics and biostatistics (CBB) presents a seminar with Dr. Anastasios Damdimopoulos.

Title: Introduction to single cell sequencing.

Speaker: Dr. Anastasios Damdimopoulos, bioinformatician, Department of Medicine, Huddinge, KI.

About the seminar

We will here present an overview of the single cell sequencing analysis, and we will mainly focus on the 10x Chromium technique. We will talk about what we mean by "cell" in single cell sequencing and how it is defined.

We will discuss about some rudimentary quality controls as well as some of the more common downstream analysis steps. How to perform normalization, various clustering approaches, how to identify marker genes and how to annotate cells. Finally, if the aim is to study and compare several different samples, how integration works and what to look out for and we will touch briefly upon pseudobulk analysis.

Before the seminar, a limited number of sandwiches and drinks will be served on a “First come – first served” basis. Show up early and network!

The seminar is held in English.
