Chaperone (www.chaperone.online) is an online platform created to help scientists potentiate their careers. On this platform, students and young professionals can browse and book online 1-to-1 sessions with over 30 experienced career consultants (career specialists, advisors, counselors and coaches) on over 50 different support topics. In addition to online 1-to-1 sessions, Chaperone also provides online group training in the format of workshops or webinars. Chaperone has already supported scientists from over 20 countries, and from prestigious institutions such as EMBL, Barcelona Institute of Technology, CERN, Umea University, Imperial College and more, with an excellent average user rating of 4.9 (out of 5).
About the Speaker
Anna Freni Sterrantino is a Senior Research Associate at the Alan Turing Institute. After completing her Ph.D. in Methodological Statistics from the University of Bologna, she held postdoc positions at the Environmental Health Agency (Italy), Statistical consultant at the United Nations (Austria), and at Imperial College London (United Kingdom). In addition to her academic research, Anna is a certified coach (ILM Level 5) and collaborates with the Imperial Postdoc Centre to promote women in science. Anna is also a Career Coach at Chaperone.
