Conferences and symposiums BYRS 2019: Biomedicum-Bioclinicum Young Researchers Symposium
Welcome to BYRS!
The aim of the symposium is to enhance collaborations between researchers within Biomedicum as well as Bioclinicum and to create an interactive platform integrating different approaches from the different departments at KI. It also provides an opportunity for young researchers to present their research and get direct input, form new connections and therefore build a community.

Target group
Young researchers at KI, including master students, PhDs and post-doctoral researchers
Talks
This edition of the BYRS will showcase the work of recent group leaders from across KI, including:
- Laura Baranello (CMB)
- Nikolas Herold (KBH)
- Claudia Kutter (MTC/SciLife)
- Michael Landreh (MTC)
- Per Nilsson (Neuro)
- Joanna Rorbach (MBB)
- Emanuela Santini (Neuro)
Poster sessions and flash talks
The symposium will also provide an opportunity for Masters, PhD and post-doctoral researchers to present their work in the poster sessions and to network with colleagues and presenters. Selected posters will also be selected for two minute flash talks before the poster session. Prizes will be awarded for the best talks and posters.
Registration
Registration is open now until the 22nd of September
This is a free event, with lunch and Fika being provided for registered attendees during the symposium.
Organizers
This event is organized by Karolinska Institutet Clinicum Connection (KICC), in collaboration with (alphabetically) the CBG Program, DSA, eLIFE, KBH Department, KI and KI Career Service.
