Welcome to the 7th PhD Summer School with the topic -How to improve dissemination of scientific knowledge on political decision making in health and social services- arranged by the Baltic Sea Region Network in Personalised Health Care (BSRN). The summer school will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania with host the Faculty of Medicine, at Vilnius University.

The purpose of the Summer School:

The purpose of the BSRN Summer school for PhD candidates is to learn new aspects of health and social sciences and present and obtain feedback on their assignments in a supportive peer atmosphere. The 2023-topic focus on how the health and social sciences’ knowledge influence the decision-making in health and social services in Baltic Sea Region and what kind of impact they have on the well-being and health of societies on political level. Moreover, the purpose is to strengthen the collaborative Baltic Sea Region network.


  • The extent of the PhD Summer school is three (3) ECTS credits
  • A certificate of participation will be given to students at the end of Summer School.
  • No participation fee, but travelling and accommodation costs need to be covered by the participants.
  • PhD-students who want to attend must apply via the BSRN contact person at their own institution
