Lectures and seminars Bridging health economics and biostatistics: probabilistic analyses in health technology assessments
We welcome you to attend a workshop jointly hosted by the VR Environment Grant "Statistical Methods for Register-Based Research", the KI Health Economics Network and SFOepi.
Workshop: “Bridging health economics and biostatistics: probabilistic analyses in health technology assessments”
This workshop will introduce and investigate methods for handling uncertainty in health economics. The workshop is intended to consider the application of biostatistical and epidemiological methods in health economics. The workshop will include four speakers with time set aside for discussions. The workshop is intended for health economists, and for biostatisticians and epidemiologists who have an interest in modelling and health economics. We welcome all participants interested in the content of the workshop, irrespective of place of employment.
Speakers:
- Emil Aho, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
- Gianluca Baio, University College London, United Kingdom.
- Caterina Gregorio, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
- Mark Clements, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
Agenda:
- Introduction to probabilistic analysis for HTA: Emil Aho (20+10).
- A full Bayesian approach to HTA: Gianluca Baio (60+10).

- How to model uncertainty for individual-based simulations in HTA? Caterina Gregorio (20+10).
- Can we use the delta method for probabilistic analysis in HTA? Mark Clements (20+10).
- Closing remarks.
