Join us for an inspiring discussion around extended reality. In this webinar, Dr. Anna Svenningsson and Assistant Professor. Emilija Wilson, will discuss why Extended reality (XR) can be a game-changer in health care professions education.
Extended reality has emerged as a powerful tool, offering immersive and interactive learning experiences that enhance traditional training methods. We will explore when and how teachers can incorporate it into their teaching to create better learning experiences. The speakers will share their experience with XR.

Dr. Anna Svenningsson is a specialist in pediatric surgery, a teacher in the KI medical programme, and a KI researcher with several ongoing projects exploring the use of XR and AI in medical education. Her research covers topics such as the use of XR for medical simulations and patient perspective experiences, as well as training communication and clinical reasoning skills using AI-based virtual patients, in collaboration with Stanford University.
Assistant Professor Emilija Wilson is a midwife specialized in perinatal- and neonatal care and holds a position as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, KI. Her current research focus is, if and how evidence is translated in to care during the perinatal period. She is involved in pedagogical projects at the midwifery program focusing on students learning environment, student activated learning and interprofessional education/learning in the clinical setting.
