Lectures and seminars Assessing confidence in the evidence from qualitative synthesis
The PHS quali seminar series is supported by the Doctoral Programme of Biology of Infections and Global Health (BIGH). The goal of the seminars is to provide a space for PhD students to learn about (new) qualitative methods. It is also an opportunity for students to receive feedback on your own research from peers and experts via engaging lectures and discussions. Basic knowledge of qualitative methodology is required.
Speaker: Dr. Meghan Bohren, Lecturer, University of Melbourne
Join the PHS quali seminar series to learn about Qualitative Evidence Synthesis(QES)–how to systematically search for and draw together qualitative research on a topic. While methods for systematic reviews and meta-analysis of quantitative studies are well established, this is a fairly new field for qualitative research. Through this seminar series, participants will have an opportunity to learn about, discussand practice QES concepts and methods together with experts in the field.
Registration required by September 1st-Maximum 16 participants! First come first serve, priority given to PhD students at PHS. Students can get credits for participation (department specific)
