Welcome to the second presentation in the new seminar series hosted by the Centre for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics. In this seminar Dr. Marrone will talk about a not so widely known yet important effect of basing your decisions using a p=0.05 as threshold. When and how this could be misleading, bringing to wrong conclusions and lack of reproducibility, and what can be done to avoid this problem.
