This online course is a general introduction to global health. It's conducted fully online through individual studies of video lectures, assignments and quizzes.

The aim of the course

The main aim of this course is to provide a general overview of global health, i.e., how health varies between and within countries. The course will give a basic understanding of causes of variation as well as a public health perspectives of the global burden of disease. After participants have completed the course, they will feel confident in pursuing further independent learning of the global health aspect relate to their specific area of research or study.

When and where does the course take place?

The course opens on Monday 10th February 2020 and is spread over two weeks until 21st February 2020.

It is conducted via the learning platform Canvas through individual studies of video lectures, assignments and quizzes based on using free, online and interactive tools as well as group discussions and peer feedback.
