Other AIMday Sustainable Consumption

On 3 December, researchers at Karolinska Institutet, KTH, and Stockholm University are invited to AIMday Sustainable Consumption. The City of Stockholm will present concrete challenges linked to its 2030 sustainable consumption goal. Researchers contribute to selected questions in short, interdisciplinary workshops.
The City of Stockholm aims to halve consumption-based emissions by 2030 compared with 2019 — touching everything from how we eat and travel to how we live, shop, and use resources.
AIMday Sustainable Consumption creates a forum where research meets practice to explore solutions to the city’s priority challenges. Each question is discussed in small, interdisciplinary groups for 60 minutes, with the aim of identifying knowledge needs, ideas, and possible collaborations.
Why participate as a researcher?
- Gain insight into the City of Stockholm’s current challenges and knowledge needs.
- Get inspiration for new research questions and projects.
- Contribute knowledge that can be applied in the city’s work to reach its climate goals.
- Build connections for future collaborations and proposals—within and across universities.
- Meet research funders and researchers from other disciplines and universities.
- Apply for seed funding (up to SEK 50,000) to initiate research collaborations.
How AIMday works
- In September, the City of Stockholm submitted its questions – see list of questions.
- Researchers register for the questions they wish to discuss by 10 November.
- On 3 December, each question is explored in a 60-minute workshop with 6–8 participants.
- Outcomes and next steps are captured to support continued collaboration.
Programme and registration
Participation is free of charge. Researchers may join one or several sessions. Breakfast and lunch networking are included for those who wish. Workshops will be conducted primarily in Swedish; however, you are welcome to speak English.
