BIO-X call for projects proposals: ICT-healthcare solutions to improve personalised treatment and care

The nationwide call for BIO-X® project proposals opened on May 19th. Funding and support for BIO-X projects enables successful applicants to verify that their idea is technically and commercially viable.

Proposals should be for a novel, ICT-based solution that can give direct benefit to the individual receiving treatment or care. For example:

• by increasing cure rates or survival times, reducing risk of side-effects, or minimizing discomfort
• by empowering individuals to participate in management of their own health through self generated data
• by supporting medical providers or caregivers in making correct decisions for treatment, care, and/or medication tailored to the individual.

Proposals are welcomed from applicants affiliated with a Swedish university or college, a research or healthcare organisation or an SME. More information is available at www.bio-x.nu. Call closes August 26th 2014, 17.00 CET
