Award ceremony for this year’s Global Master’s scholars

For the fourth year in succession, KI is awarding scholarships to especially deserving non-European students. This year’s recipients, five Master’s students from Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Mexico, received their scholarships at a ceremony attended by the Karolinska Institutet Vice-Chancellor, the Dean of Education, the chaired programme representatives and the students’ families.

The recipients are elite students on the Master’s programmes in health informatics, public health epidemiology, toxicology and bioentrepreneurship. Each was awarded a diploma at the ceremony by Vice-Chancellor Anders Hamsten, who emphasised in his speech how important global Master’s students are for KI, given its ambitions to be a university that engages in research and education at the highest international level.
