An increasing number of companies in warehousing and transportation now use apps or other digital technologies to plan, distribute, and monitor work on the floor or in the vehicle. Researchers at Karolinska Institutet are investigating how working with such digital technology affects health and well-being. The responsible researchers are now seeking participants for a short survey study. If you work as a warehouse worker or driver in logistics, you can participate.

About the study

Digital technologies like pick-to-voice, pick-by-vision, pick-by-light, handheld terminals, tablets, and smartphones are widely used for work supervision in logistics. Often, this digital technology determines who performs a certain task, in what order, and how quickly tasks should be performed. The technology can also monitor how quickly and efficiently tasks are carried out. Researchers at the Karolinska Institute want to examine how this affects the health and well-being of workers in warehousing and transportation to improve working conditions and health in this industry.

How does the study work?

The study involves filling out an anonymous online survey that takes about 10 minutes to complete. The questions focus on your work, health, and well-being.

Who can participate?

Participants must meet the following criteria:

  • You live and work in Sweden.
  • You work as a warehouse worker or driver in logistics.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
