Approved grant for whole-genome sequencing of 100 AD/FTD patients from SciLifeLab

The research group "Translational Genetics in Neurodegenerative disease" at the Division of Neurogeriatrics with PI Professor Caroline Graff, has received a grant from SciLifeLab for sequencing the whole genome in 100 AD and FTD patients.

The project title is "Identification of genetic variations in Alzheimer disease and frontotemporal dementia by whole-genome sequencing".

The SciLifeLab National Projects consist of two programs based on massively parallel DNA sequencing: the Swedish Genomes Program and the Biodiversity Program.

In total, there were 77 applications of which 21 projects have been approved. A list of all the approved projects are available at the SciLifeLab web site.
