Apply for KI collaboration awards for collaboration with University College London, UK
This call aims to facilitate new and existing contacts as well as increase research collaboration with the University College London and Karolinska Institutet.
KI’s Internationalisation Board is pleased to announce the availability of limited competitive funds for a collaborative activities. The purpose of these funds is to facilitate new, and further develop, existing collaborations between researchers and early stage researchers with the University College London.
The award provides support up to 30 000 SEK (including INDI) per activity. Proposals that can demonstrate follow-up and sustainability beyond the initial funding period are particularly encouraged.
Costs and proposal
- Proposals may include, but are not limited to, workshops (face-to-face and virtual), symposia, research seminars/presentations, and formation, development, or expansion of a collaborative network. Activities to develop new collaboration or new methods, workshops, preparation for larger national and international funding, developing staff, student and doctoral students’ mobility are particularly encouraged. (Funding will not be given if the proposal is for an existing seminar series course or part of an existing teaching course.)
- Eligible costs include travel and subsistence, consumables, cost associated with organizing a workshop or symposia. The fund does not support equipment, scholarships, conference attendance, or tuition fees.
- There can be no transfer of funds between institutions.
Applications should include:
- CV of the applicant(s)
- CV of the invitee(s) (if funds will be used to bring someone from UCL to KI)
- Statement of interest and description of the intended activities, including project dates, a project timeline and a description of the planned activities (max one A4 page)
- For doctoral students and post docs, statement of interest anddescription of the intended activities including relevance to the project and their further education / career ambitions (max one half A4 page) (if applicable).
- Letter of support from the head of department or equivalent (if applicable)
- Letter of invitation (if applicable)
- Budget (max one half A4 page)
Proposal format: Combine the documents into a single pdf file.
Deadline for applications: November 8, 2024
The decision of funding will be made in November. The proposed activity should take place between December 2024 and December 2025.
All funded collaboration awards will require submission of a short report that can be published on the KI web site.
It is possible to apply for the award more than once but applicants that never have been awarded an award for collaboration with the University College London will be prioritised.
