A Nobel laureate colleagues visit at IMM

Today, colleagues of the Nobel laureate professor Ohsumi visited IMM's unit of Toxicology and held a seminar. Among the guests were professor Tamotsu Yoshimori, Associate Professor Maho Hamasaki and Associate Professor Akiko Kuma. Even the professors Gerry Melino and Mauro Piacentini from University of Rome "Tor Vergata" took part in the seminar which, among other things, resulted in a very interesting discussion on the role of Autophagy for various diseases. Also a presentation from Vitaly Kaminsky, IMM attracted great interest. These discussions will continue Monday 12 december at the Nobel Forum during the event "Meet the Nobel Laureate", organized by Karolinska Institutet and the Nobel Assembly.
