DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a webinar co-organised by the Nordic Welfare Centre\, Dalarna University and Karolinska Institutet\, where new research on loneliness among older adults in the Nordic region will be presented. This webinar will be of value to decision-makers\, care practitioners\, civil society\, researchers and everybody with an interest in the living conditions of older adults.\r\n\r\nAbout the seminarLoneliness is widely discussed within policy\, practice and media. It is a public health issue internationally due to having negative consequences for physical and mental health. Older adults have been identified as being at risk of loneliness\, so it is crucial to understand loneliness in this age group and how it can be reduced.Welcome to a webinar where new research on loneliness among older adults in the Nordic region will be presented. The topics to be explored include the links between loneliness and mental health\, how older adults describe their experiences of loneliness\, and how to design interventions and actions to reduce loneliness. The lower levels of loneliness in Nordic countries compared to other parts of Europe will be examined from a societal perspective\, while loneliness among older adults will be considered from a life-course perspective. To highlight how this research can contribute to the lives and well-being of older adults\, representatives of a civil society organisation and a local authority will identify take-home messages from the conference.\r\n\r\nMore info\, registration and programme\n\nAdditional information on the Nordic Welfare Center webpage\nhttps://nordicwelfare.org/en/evenemang/webinar-loneliness-among-older-adults/\n\nRegister by filling in the form. DESCRIPTION:On 3 December\, researchers from Karolinska Institutet\, KTH and Stockholm University are invited to AIMday Sustainable Consumption – a meeting place where research meets practice to explore solutions to the City of Stockholm's challenges in sustainable consumption.\r\n\r\nHow can we lower the climate impact of our consumption in Stockholm? This question will be in focus as researchers from Karolinska Institutet\, KTH\, and Stockholm University meet with staff from the City of Stockholm at AIMday on 3 December – a day dedicated to knowledge exchange\, inspiration\, and the exploration of new collaboration opportunities. The City of Stockholm has set a goal to halve its consumption-based emissions by 2030. Achieving this will require a broad societal transformation – from how we eat and travel to how we live\, shop\, and use resources.AIMday Sustainable Consumption brings together researchers and staff from the City of Stockholm to explore pressing challenges and discuss how research can inform future solutions. The day also includes opportunities for networking and dialogue with research funders.More information about the event (in Swedish)Save the date!During September\, staff from the City of Stockholm will be invited to register and submit challenges related to sustainable consumption. These submitted questions form the foundation of AIMday and set the agenda for a day of workshops where researchers and city staff come together to discuss concrete challenges.Registration for researchers opens on 8 October &amp\;nbsp\;From 8 October\, you as a researcher can register for the questions submitted by the City of Stockholm that you want to discuss.OrganisersAIMday Sustainable Consumption is organised by the University Alliance Stockholm Trio\, consisting of Karolinska Institutet\, KTH and Stockholm University.\r\n\r\nContact\n\nNina Eneroth\n\nPhone: +46 8 16 12 71\nEmail: nina.eneroth@su.se\r\n\r\nPlease note that location\, time and information can be updated on the website.\r\nhttps://news.ki.se/calendar/aimday-sustainable-consumption
