The MR Center at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet continues with the seminar series focused on functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The seminars will be led by Peter Fransson.

The intended audience are all researchers that have an interest in the experimental design, data modelling and analysis of fMRI data. The aim of the seminars, which are inteded to be held 2 to 3 times per semester, is to provide a forum for an open discussion of methodological aspects of fMRI analysis as well as giving researchers an opportunity to present/discuss their own fMRI research projects where feedback and support are given in a user-friendly forum.

Each seminar will begin with a presentation of a fMRI related topic or methodologically oriented fMRI paper, followed by an open discussion.

The next seminar will take place via zoom and start at 13.00 on Thursday the 21:th of October.

The topic of this seminar is: The relevance of the Global Signal and the use of Global Signal Regression in resting-state fMRI brain connectivity analysis

If you are interested in attending, please send an E-mail to Peter Fransson at peter.fransson@ki.se and you will receive a Zoom link.

You are also welcome to e-mail proposals for fMRI related questions beforehand that you would like to discuss during the seminar or if you want to give a brief presentation on some aspect of your study that you would like to get feedback on.

Most welcome,

Peter Fransson
