The first KI South ethics symposium is organised by the Dean and departments at KI South under the lead of Fredrik Lanner (CLINTEC). Opening remarks by KI president Ole Petter Ottersen and the Dean KI South. Lectures by world-leading scientists will be followed by discussions about scientific possibilities, absence of clear regulations on emerging technologies and ethical dilemmas.
- What if we could engineer complete embryos from stem cells and develop these in an artificial uterus? We will explore the science which is now making this a reality and discuss the ethical implications.
