Nigel Mackman, John Parker Professor of Hematology, Professor of Pathology, Professor of Pharmacology studies the role of tissue factor (TF), coagulation proteases, protease activated receptors (PARs) and extracellular vesicles (EVs) in mouse models of hemostasis, thrombosis, endotoxemia, ischemia-reperfusion injury, cancer, obesity, atherosclerosis and viral infection.

Lecture: "Mechanisms of cancer-associated thrombosis: focus on tissue factor-positive extracellular vesicles"

Short talk introduction by KI  researcher Charlotte Thålin, M.D., Ph.D, consultant in internal medicine at the Deptartment of Clinical Sciences and Danderyd Hospital: Neutrophil extracellular traps in cancer-associated thrombosis

The lecture will be followed by an afternoon reception in the Neo entrance hall with possibility to interact and ask questions. A small group will after that be allowed to talk to Prof. Mackman under the leadership of Johanna Ungerstedt.
