Seminar description

A large proportion of our collective disease burden comes from unhealthy lifestyles. Even if we increasingly know what a healthy lifestyle looks like, it is still hard for the individual to change behaviors. Peter Vesterberg and his colleagues are developing a new tool that aims to provide more accurate and tailored lifestyle guidelines for individuals, at scale, by using applied machine learning. The tool will continuously be developed in order to include the latest understanding of data driven behaviors and habit formation. The seminar will cover the principles of the solution and the initial findings from an ongoing pilot. 

About the speaker

Peter Vesterberg is the founder of Inference Labs, a company developing the health tech application “Saluto”. He has a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and Karolinska Institutet. His academic specialisation is based on the evaluation of artificial neural networks as associative memory. He has a long career working with agile software development and service design. Peter has been spent these last years as an entrepreneur working with applied machine learning and explainable artificial intelligence. In addition, he is a providing courses in machine learning for organizations and companies.
