Other Join Karolinska Institutet and the Academic Pride in the Stockholm Pride Parade 2022
Karolinska Institutet supports Stockholm Pride that will take place on the first week of August 2022. The rainbow flag will fly at KI Campus throughout Pride week and we will take part in the Pride Parade Saturday 6 August. The Pride Parade starts at Norr Mälarstrand at 13:00 and you can also join the Academic Pride pre-party at 11.00.
Karolinska Institutet's participation in the Pride Parade is in collaboration with Medicinska Föreningen (MF) and Odontologiska Föreningen (OF). Together we welcome all students and staff to come and take part in the Pride Parade. The higher education institutions: Karolinska Institutet, KTH, Stockholm University and Stockholm School of Economics are joining the parade together as the Academic Pride.
Register to the pre-party
Before the parade you can join the pre-party together with the other universities. We gather in Rotundan at Stockholm University, Frescativägen 9, for a pre-party at 11:00. Light food and alcohol free drinks will be served to pre-registered participants. T-shirts will be handed out first come first served.

Join the parade
You are most welcome to join the parade without attending the pre-party. All of KI's students and staff are welcome to take part and join the parade at Norr Mälarstrand. Academic Pride’s start number is 109. If you want a place on the truck, make sure to be there on time. First come, first served! At 12.30, all people have to be on the truck bed.

About Academic Pride
Academic Pride is a collaboration around Stockholm Pride between several of Stockholm's higher education institutions and associated student unions. The purpose is to make visible the importance of LGBTQIA + issues in higher education institutions, both in terms of research and teaching and in terms of inclusive work and study environments.
Academic Pride 2022 is organized by Karolinska Institutet, the Stockholm School of Economics, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Marie Cederschiöld University and Stockholm University together with the various universities' student unions, including the Equal Treatment Council at Marie Cederschiöld University, the Medical Association's LGBTQ association Queerolinska at Karolinska Institutet, the LGBTQ association Speqtrum at KTH's student union THS, Rainbows at student union SUS and the student union SASSE at the Stockholm School of Economics.
