Summary

Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are often referred to as a silent epidemic due to its high incidence worldwide. The long-term consequences of TBI are becoming increasingly relevant as the prevalence increases, but a huge knowledge gap still exists regarding symptoms, pathophysiology, and possible interventions. This thesis aims to narrow that gap.
