Centre for bioinformatics and biostatistics presents an educational seminar within bioinformatics.
Clustering methods are largely used in different fields in biology from population genetics to clinical applications. Most of us are familiar with at least some of the clustering methods (tSNA, UMAP, PCA, MDS, K-means). In this short lecture Ghada Nouairia will explain the principles of clustering and when they are useful.
Before the seminar, a limited number of sandwiches and drinks will be served on a “First come – first served” basis starting 12:00. Show up early and network!
