About the speaker
Dr. Vigneshwari Subramanian is currently a senior data scientist in the Computational Toxicology group, AstraZeneca(Sweden). In her current role, she focuses on developing machine learning models, related to various ADME and safety-related end points. Vigneshwari is a Bioinformatician by training with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Sastra deemed university (India) and University of Helsinki (Finland), respectively. Following her Masters, she pursued a PhD in Computational Drug Discovery and her doctoral thesis work was a joint collaborative project between University of Helsinki and Orion pharma(Finland). Having a background in both Bioinformatics and Chemoinformatics, she has expertise in applying various computational approaches to several drug discovery projects both in academia and industry. Apart from research, Vigneshwari is also actively involved in several Mentoring programs, some of which include AstraZeneca’s campus ambassador program, New York Academy’s 1000 girls 1000 futures program and Freedom Employability Academy’s career guidance mentoring sessions.
