We welcome all current students, alumni and teachers to join us in celebrating the 30th anniversary of biomedicine education at KI with an afternoon seminar in Aula Medica followed by a reception at Medicinska Föreningen.

The Biomedicine Programme started 30 years ago as the first general academic (not profession oriented) educational programme at Karolinska Institutet in 1995. This merits a celebration! Today KI offers international Bachelor’s and Master’s Programmes in Biomedicine, with students from all over the world. Many of our alumni have successful scientific careers in academia, while others hold prominent positions in industry, governmental agencies or non-profit organisations.

We are preparing an exciting symposium and social event for current and former students, teachers, course directors, the KI management and external guests to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Contributions from different speakers and panels will address glimpses from the past and the future of biomedicine in society.
